Marta Kluczyńska

 

Marta Kluczyńska - conductor with a rich opera, symphonic and ballet repertoire. Relentlessly searching for new ways of interpretation and nonobvious repertoire worth introducing to the wider audience.

She is the conceiver and the conductor of a string of concerts in Teatr Wielki - Opera Narodowa (The Grand Theater and National Opera in Warsaw) presenting forgotten Polish opera works: Barbara Radziwiłłówna by Henryk Jarecki in 2022, Beatrix Cenci by Ludomir Różycki in 2024. In 2021 she became the music director of Polish National Ballet. She has been the music director of annual open air opera events at the Palace in Nieborów since 2018 (Faust by Antoni Radziwiłł in 2018, Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart in 2019, Goplana by W. Żeleński in 2021, Szarlatan, czyli wskrzeszanie umarłych by K. Kurpiński in 2022, The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart in 2023, Rusalka by A. Dvorak in 2024).

She graduated Chopin University of Music having studied symphonic and opera conducting under Professor Marek Pijarowski, as well as the piano under Professor Elżbieta Karaś-Krasztel. In 2019 she took part in Hart Institute for Women Conductors Program in The Dallas Opera. She took part in workshops organized by The European Network of Opera Academies at Edinburgh Festival (Great Britain, 2010) and Académie Européene du Festival d’Aix-en-Provence (France, 2011, workshops run by Peter Eötvös; 2019 workshops run by Katie Mitchell.)

Since 2008/09 artistic season she has been working in The Grand Theater - National Opera where she debuted conducting In the Realm of the Magic Flute at the age of 24. Then she conducted (among others): The Haunted Manor, A Midsummer Night Dream by B. Britten, world premiers of operas from the 'P' Project: for voices and hands by Jagoda Szmytka, Transcryptum by Wojtek Blecharz, Victory Over the Sun by Sławomir Wojciechowski, Solarize by Marcin Stańczyk, as well as ballets: Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Die Bajadere, Kichot, Le Corsaire, Tristan and many others.

She collaborated with Łódź Opera House, Wrocław Opera House, Polish Royal Opera, Landestheater Coburg, Szczecin Castel Opera. She led symphonic concerts by Sinfonia Varsovia, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish Radio Orchestra, Łódź Philharmonic Orchestra, The Sudets Philharmonic Orchestra, Zielona Góra Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, Świętokrzyskie Philharmonic Orchestra, UMFC Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.

Earlier she gained experience working as an assistant condutor in the National Opera, collaborating with Valery Gergiev, Marek Minkowski, Stefan Soltesz, Jacek Kaspszyk, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Gabriel Chmura, among others. She was also the assistant conductor at the Tannhäuser opera staging in Teatro Municipal de Santiago in Chile and at Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra.
