Lynne Hockney

Lynne Hockney trained at the Royal Ballet School. Her choreographic career has encompassed opera‚ theatre‚ film and television‚ largely in the UK and USA‚ working with directors as diverse as James Cameron‚ Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sir Peter Hall. Her work has been seen at repertory theatres throughout the UK and USA and her extensive list of film credits include The VillageTitanicTrue Lies‚ Town & CountryWild‚ Wild West‚ and Rocky & Bullwinkle.

Most recent and forthcoming engagements as Director include A Midsummer Night's Dream (Malmö) and La Cenerentola (Erfurt); and as Revival Director, Sir Peter Hall’s Cenerentola (Glyndebourne and Berlin)‚ A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Glyndebourne) and Otello (Castleton Festival). Recent and future choreography includes Fiddler on the Roof, La bohème and A Little Night Music (Malmö)‚ Billy Budd with Opera North and Dead Man Walking (Royal Danish Theatre), all with Orpha Phelan; Romeo et Juliette‚ Un ballo in Maschera‚ La bohème and Eugene Onegin (Grange Park Opera; Stephen Medcalf); Manon Lescaut (The Grange Festival), Rusalka (Magdeburg)‚ Guillaume Tell (Graz)‚ Otello (Korean National Opera)‚ Katya Kabanova (Scottish Opera and Magdeburg) and Lucia di Lammermoor (Oldenburg) all with Stephen Lawless) and the world premiere of The Life & Death of Alexander Litvinenko, La Boheme, Don Quichotte, Romeo et Juliette and Don Carlo (Grange Park Opera).
